Umgeni Community Empowerment Centre is a Non Profit and Public Benefit organisation that has its primary focus on the care and counselling of: neglected, abused or homeless children, destitute citizens, orphans, marginalized communties, commercial sex works, indigent persons over the age of 60, poverty stricken learners and families, persons afflicted with HIV/AIDS, victims of Human Trafficking, rape and domestic violence victims.

UCEC runs numerous programmes aimed at aiding & empowering both individuals and communities to become self sustainable and contributory citizens.

WHO WE ARE

A registered Non-Profit, Public-Benefit Organisation (034-250-NPO) since 2003 Core practice is to benefit & uplift society Offer a range of services from counselling to skills development Collection & distribution of food to the underprivileged Temporary Relief Crisis Centre for abused women & children Crèche for poverty stricken children in rural area On site pre & post test counselling & support groups for HIV / AIDS Outreach programme for commercial sex workers Faith based organisation which offers spiritual guidance.

WHO WE ASSIST

Our primary focus is on the care, counselling and rehabilitation of: Victims of domestic violence, physical & emotional abuse Victims of Human Trafficking & of sexual abuse Commercial Sex Workers Orphaned, abused, neglected or homeless children Marginalized communities Persons infected and affected by HIV / AIDS Underprivileged families & unemployed individuals Indigent persons over the age of 60 The sick, suicidal, imprisoned & the destitute.

Our services are for all in need regardless of age, gender, race or religion.
