Annual Report for UCEC Projects - 2016

Once again another year has passed, although in spite of our country going through an economic down grading process, crime being on the increase, abuse of women and children on a much larger scale, drug abuse which is literally tearing communities apart, Human Trafficking as we never knew it and the high rate of unemployment etc, Umgeni Community Empowerment Centre (UCEC) is delighted to make this report on some of its successful current projects and programmes during the year of 2016.

UCEC has for the last 13 years run its many programmes without any form of government funding; it has been only through generous individuals and business partners that we were able to implement these much needed projects. However, UCEC finds itself with a great financial burden not only to maintain but also to expand its initiatives.
